Camping at Oak Flats

The boys and I went camping this past weekend to Oak Flats just east of Superior.  We had a fun time doing some hiking and exploring.  Ethan was our trusty leader.  He had his hiking stick in hand.  He saw a cave from a distance and wanted to hike to it.  I just followed the boys and went were they wanted to go.

The boys and I had a birthday bash for Tyler on Tuesday (his actual birthday) the past week.  It was fun being with them and having a little party to celebrate the life of one of the neatest and sweetest people that I know.  Happy Birthday Tyler!

Light Bulb Moments

Here are a couple of funny things that the boys have said to me recently...Ethan said, "Dad, have you ever eaten trans fat?"  That kid is so funny.  I can't believe that he even speaks the way he does.  So smart!  Tyler said the other evening while it was bedtime, "When I close my eyes it helps me go to sleep so I am going to close my eyes?"  I love the fun things that the boy say.

Thanksgiving 2010

The boys and I went back to Seattle for Thanksgiving to visit my parents and brother and we had a terrific time.  We flew in to a winter wonderland.  It had started snowing on Monday morning and continued snowing thru Tuesday.  It was so special and exciting for the boys.  They loved being there and playing in it.  It was so cold for me and Tyler but Ethan seemed to thrive in it.  He must have some polar bear in him.  I took the boys also on a ferry ride at the Mukilteo dock and took a picture of the lighthouse.  It was so cold on that boat ride outside.  The boys and I made a snowman on Wednesday morning before all the snow melted.  It was so good for them to get out of Arizona for Thanksgiving and visit family.  We had a blast.  I was so grateful to be with the boys.

Como se dice "pizza" en Italiano

On Wednesday evening as we were driving to Chuck E' Cheese Tyler decides to go all foreign on Ethan and myself and teaching us something about the Italian language.  He says,  "Dad I know how to say pizza in Italian."  I think to myself and then say to him, "Well...how?"  Tyler says,  "Spaghetti is how you say pizza in Italian."  I love Tyler and the cute things that he says.
